Cerwin Vega subs

Ok guys, I've listened to cerwin vega home stereo speakers and know they sound very good for the price. I haven't heard or been able to find anybody who has heard any of their car subs. I am looking at the HED-8's just cause I have a truck and already have two boxes for 8" subs. I just want to know what people around here think about cerwin vega in general, and if they are worth the money.

i heard two 10's ran from a Hifonics Amp ( i cant remember which one) in a GTi and they sounded pretty good ... roof was rattling a lil .. but it was a show car so i wasnt impressed and expected better

i heard one of the origional cerwin vega strokers a loooong time ago, it was in a pickup truck off a 1200 watt amp, it was pretty impressive at the time.

thanks guys, I think I'm gonna order those HED-8's and put them in .35 cu. ft. ported truck boxes behind my seat because I already have the boxes. I might just seal them up too. I appreciate the imput from everybody.

My lil HED10SVC is running of my GM-3000T temporaily til I get new stuff and it sounds pretty good in ~1.1 sealed..

I still run 1 15" 'Vega' series off a RF vintage old school amp (Punch 150). Sounds very Loud and Low!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

The HED series is alright, but I would recommend the new '05 'V-max' series. They took the place of the old 'Vega' in '03. I have heard great things about the new '05 model! The only thing is they don't come in 8".
