cda-9887 - volume knob has sticky point when cold

hmm. weird. i thought if you would of understood my screen name by now you would of actually done it instead of trying to take half ass stabs at me...

but nice try on trying to help the guy in a worthless thread. the knob sticks? go back to where you got it and get it replaced. end of story. no need to get mad because my "did you jizz on it?" post is just as worthless as your "yea mine doesnt do that at all" post.

Who's mad? I didn't go off and write a couple paragraphs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

sorry ignoreme but nismos post was actually far more helpful. atleast he was able to confirm his doesn't do that.
lol...common sense would tell you that when something does it when its cold but doesnt when its "warmed up" there is something wrong with your unit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

At least he knows it is a problem with his unit and not a general problem with the 9887.
im not gonna bs around anymore because that is a valid point.

im just saying i would of been in a local car audio shop messing around with the other 9887's and seeing how mine works compared to them, if it was me.

i got a little OCD too...if a unit did that to me i would be in the shop until they replaced it or gave me a refund so i could buy another deck.

alpine is sending me a new faceplate replacement no charge - i will let you all know how that works out. i'm sure you will be on the edge of your seats in anticipation... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That’s really helpful, thanks! I’ll keep digging and see what I can find online :)

I'm hoping to find someone who might be able to repair this head unit. The faceplate doesn't slide out at all.
