Who's mad? I didn't go off and write a couple paragraphs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

sorry ignoreme but nismos post was actually far more helpful. atleast he was able to confirm his doesn't do that.
lol...common sense would tell you that when something does it when its cold but doesnt when its "warmed up" there is something wrong with your unit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

At least he knows it is a problem with his unit and not a general problem with the 9887.
im not gonna bs around anymore because that is a valid point.

im just saying i would of been in a local car audio shop messing around with the other 9887's and seeing how mine works compared to them, if it was me.

i got a little OCD too...if a unit did that to me i would be in the shop until they replaced it or gave me a refund so i could buy another deck.

alpine is sending me a new faceplate replacement no charge - i will let you all know how that works out. i'm sure you will be on the edge of your seats in anticipation... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

nah, once my local shop gets the new one in i will drop off my current one and swap them out. my local shop does a ton of business wtih alpine and i guess that pays off in situations like this.

at first they wanted me to drive there and let the radio get cold enough so they could duplicate the issues themselves and i said that wasn't going to work for me. so they were able to just get alpine to send a new one instead.

update - got a new faceplate and problem went away...i can now sleep peacefully //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
