cda-9887 - volume knob has sticky point when cold

sup everyone, i've noticed that when my car is not warmed up there is a point at which my volume knob sticks. like it doesn't want to turn and you have to twist with extra pressure to get past that point.

should i return it? does the knob pop off so that i can maybe see whats causing it to stick?

I have noticed mine is sluggish as well, when it is cold, I just use the remote.

I would rather use the remote, than force it when its cold..

Every things expands and contracts with temp. changes... Keep that in mind.

yes, you're right, its just that the shop i bought it from is trying to say bring it by and they will look at it. well unless i drive there without the heat on the whole way it will be fine by the time i get there.

so i'm not sure how they are going to duplicate the issue...

try turning it with just the tip of one finger, i know, i'm really obsessive compulsive. however its easiest to notice a sticking point, if there is one by doing it this way.
