CD7000 full tilt: no distortion

I don't know but when setting my gains on test tones, I could not get any distortion from 0 to 79 (max is 80). When I get to 80, I get that nasty square sound.

Is it me or do those eclipse head unit are really DA SHIZNIT!!!!!!!

Should I get an oscilloscope?

I set mine @70/80 on my CD7k. Haven't had a song I needed to go over 60 on anyways so I'm happy.

Yes, the CD7000 is a very nice HU. I would still set the gains at about 2/3 of max volume with test tones.

Sweet, I thought I did something wrong... and I knew my amp couldn't take away the distortion even though it is a tube amp* lol

tube amp, eh? That 'warmth' you hear is distortion anyway.

Anyway, my last Eclipsed clipped on the preouts on volume 78/80 with the NF output on 11. I used an oscope and 0dB tones.

Yeah I know it is distortion, but it is really kicking in after 20mns - warmth that is.

I should try to set every, amps and all on 75 out of 80 then.
