I just installed an alpine 9815 and when I went to put a cd in it made a ticking sound. When I went to play it it said no disc. Now I can't get the cd out adn it won't play. Anyone know what to do?
This same exact thing happened with my 7873. I figured it was toast so I let my friend have it and I got a 9815. My friend said he just took off the top and it had just gotten wound up. Worth giving it a shot and saving 40-100 in shop costs.
Must be an alpine error..same thing happened with my 7894...this sounds stupid but I remeber trying to put another cd in it at a slight anlge and it popped out..then I had a porblem with the face closing before i put them in..I just messed with it...works fine now...hmm this isn't a good trend for alpine
I got the cd out, i just held the eject button. But right before it comes out it ticks again. And everytime I load it it ticks and the screen says No Disc. Is it something that I can fix or does it ahve to be brough in? Should I take it to where I bought it with it installed adn show them or take it out?
