cd changer help!!

i just installed a brand new JVC CHX1500RF Universal CD Changer with MP3 /Remote. for some reason when i first installed it, it worked fine when i tried it with accesories on, then when i turned the car on it quit, as i was going down the road it worked fine.... but everyonce in awhile i keep having this "error 8" come up on the controller, the manual says it deals with connections. but the thing is i double checked the connections, their fine. then another example of this problem would be, i was driving home from work it played and allowed me to change songs just fine but when i got about 2 minutes from my house the controller read error 8 everytime i hit the next button, but yet it still played music from my changer. i'm thinking i may need to return it but i keep thinkin why would i need to do that when it allows me to do things right a good bit of times, i figure it might be something i may be just missing and i really dont wanna send it back if i dont have to.
