carpeting slot ports

when i do my slot ports, i dont want to see the mdf on the innner edges of the port, but if i cary the carpet down the port, does this create considerable friction, hence poor tunning / poorer response at the desired frequency.....if so how do other people "combat" this problem?carpeting slot ports

 
id just leave it, or paint it maybe to match ur carpet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The black rca out is your mono sub output. That is the one you would use for signal to your sub amp.
