CarPC setup, need experienced advice.

One more thing, can I limit the Amp's output to the 4 channels for the speakers? Would that be necessary? The amp puts out 55wrms and the speakers are only designed to handle 50wrms each (although I hear they can handle more). I have no idea on the car PC set up, but with that amp, you can set it to 50 RMS with just the gains. Some of the Hifonics amps have been know to be overrated, so you might not even have to worry.

Theres some tutorials on setting the gains on the forums, for when you get there. It's actually quite easy. You can make it at 20 RMS at full volume, with the gains, so there's no need to worry about that.

Thanks for the help, now I don't have to worry about cheaping out on my amp's power for sake of saving my speakers. =D

The next thing I need to worry about is volume control between the carPC's output and the Amp's input. Still trying to find out more about Equalizers and Pre-amps.
