Careers in Car Audio???

I'm wondering if anyone here works at car audio companies and is willing to share with me how they got there and what they think is most important for youngins like me to get where they are.

I'm currently at Community College, and am beginning to study Electrical Engineering, I also have my Basic MECP certification and would like to have my masters once I finish grad. school. Are there any internships I'd be able to apply for in the coming year, or after I transfer out to a university? Any help is appreciated, even if it's just people telling me that I'm being stupid and asking for help in the wrong place.

I don't want to be an installer (I can do that now), I want to work at a company like alpine, or memphis, or kicker making and designing components or at least testing them. I pretty much just want to work for a car audio company, I don't want to be an installer, and I'm not looking for a job right now, I'm looking for a job 5 or 6 years from now and I'm asking for advice to put me on the right track.

Transfer into a 4-year program and get a real BSEE, if you want to do that sort of thing.

errrr i'd say your best bet is to try get a job in the industry (sales or install) from that you can meet some sales reps and ask for a job.... i dont think you'd even be considered for a job like that unless you've worked in the industry for a few years.

Hit up best buy, they have the best installers around... I'm sure they'd hire u over the GED equipped other installers.

Pretty sure he said he is talking about careers more with a manufacturer in something like R&D and the like, not installing for Best Buy or some other shop. Good try though.
