car stolen...

and the system too

time to get back to the chalk board and come up with a new system. this will be my first diy system. i normally buy components, never attempted to piece together a system with raw drivers. i listen to mostly metal, and some industrial. chest thumping solid kick-drum is a must, and clear but not ear piercing highs. i need feedback on amps and raw drivers. my budget is around $2,500. for subs i really like the fi audio q series. for amps the MB Quart DSC 2150 looks like a steal for $99... wonder if they sound clean and do their rated power?

MB Quart DSC 2150 600W RMS, Class A/B 2-Channel Discus Series Amplifier :: Car Audio Deals

7"-8" midbass driver? i like the specs on the peerless sls8 but it's a massive driver. are they really that hard to install? anything better?

3"-4"-5" midrange? clueless

tweeter? clueless

you think it would be total overkill to run the MB Quart DSC 2150 per door... 4ohm bridged @ 600 watts?
I'm assuming you're doing a Big 3 upgrade as well? 600 watts a door is fine as long as you use common sense and have equipment that can handle it.
