Car Siren Installation

Hey guys just curious. I plan on putting roughly 6 sirens on the car. (1 in hood, 1 in bumper, 1 under dash, 1 in trunk, 2 around the rear seats). Overkill maybe, but that's not what I'm here to ask.

I plan on hooking them up to the viper 7900. When installing a siren into this alarm does it turn the sirens on by connecting the negatives (and the siren's positive is connected to the car bat) or does it power the sirens by adding power to the siren and batt neg is connected to the car?

If it does it by powering +vs, how many can you add before you run out of juice? Would you instead use a relay that would just ground the siren and have the sirens connected to the car batt?

IIRC they ground is connected to the chassis, and they are power from the alarm brain. But you will need to use a relay for that many. I knew a guy that had 10 in his S-10 and shit it was loud.

look under your dash for the main alarm sirens wire black/red and the attach the extra sirens black wire to the black and the red to the red.you can just get away with the 5 as you will not need 1 in the bumper as you have the one under the hood already. and yeah use a relay.

I'm auctually thinking about something like this more than the one I mentioned.

2 in the front (on each side of the hood - 6 tone)

2 in the bumper (on each side of the bumper - 6 tone)

2 under the dash (piezo)

2 in the middle of the car (piezo)

2 in the trunk (piezo)

Total: 10

Hopefully it will be loud as hell *fingers crossed*

I want the type of system that when the alarm is trigger there's so much noise and lights that flash that they just book it out of there. Cars with just 1 siren can be muted easily as soon as they find it or with another in the dash they just stuff the car with a blanket, backpack or a car cover from a car near by.

Yeah it'll be loud. But they will be louder if you have them all outside of the vehicle. My buddy had 5 pointed down running down both sides of the frame rail. God it was loud. He had the one that tells you you have 5 seconds to back away from the vehicle, and if not would set it off.

Well the ones outside are just to deter them away. If they persist I want their ears to bleed as they try to get the stuff out of my car. then using that blood i can run a dna check and track them down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

btw is it possible to separate these extra sirens from the regular siren? I would preferably avoid having all these sirens chirp every time i unlock or lock the car.

I like the idea of multiple sirens for some reason... just makes ya feel all safe in side //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

how bout a relay to a train horn to piss off the neighbors at night?
