Car Shutting Down PLZ HELP!!!!

I have a 96 Lexus LS400 and just installed my sound system now when I turn the subs on the car lights start diming and the car kinda sputters then the head unit shuts off and the car kicks back on.

I just got a new battery in march but it might not be strong enough to run everthing im not sure

I have two MTX Thunder 7500 dual coil 4 ohm subs

a 3 farad capacitor

a Quantum Audio QA3000D amp

and a Panasonic DVD/TV head unit.

when the car is off the battery reads 12.3 volts on my volt meter

when the car is on it reads 13.4

when i turn the stereo on the battery read 12.6-12.8

any suggestions on what I can do to fix this problem??? Thanks alot

Your on the wrong forum,these muthafucca's don't know shyt. Check your alt.

only charging to 13.4 with the car on is not good. try doing the big 3 and see if that helps.. and get rid of the capacitor

big three is replacing all your wires to the battery from the alt and making new grounds.. and a cap only hurts in your position. they are not made to stable voltage or help voltage.

yeah i would lose the cap if ur using a good battery i was a cap fan but realized it was no help , a kinetik or yellow top , big 3 ,, this is funny just ran into this last weekend with hooking my nephews car up , he bought a yellow top and did big 3 and now car is fine his was also shutting the car down big 3 link http://www.caraudio.com/forums/wiring-electrical-installation-help/152355-official-caraudio-com-big-3-thread.html
