car rattling help

my buddy has a cavy with two 12" infinitys in his trunk, it rattles like no tomorrow, we have been thinking of ways to stop it from rattling, its the piece that is between the trunk and the back seats covered in carpet. if you had some more powerful subs then i would do the mini wall, but if i were you just try and find it and put some small insulation or sound deadner on it

we already put dynamat on the trunk lid, but the piece that is rattling now has like a metal support frame under it with his 6X9 mounted in his, and also ive been trying to get him to get like a 15" Q or something else to put in it, i cant wait until he hears my BL with my new amp in my truck, or at least i cant wait either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

yeah that should sound nice! have him get some better spl equipment. can you describe whats rattling a little more or maybe find a pic about it, im sure we can help you

ok i will, but you know where the back seats are, and directly above and behind them, the piece that that separates the cabin from the trunk area, all cars have them, i guess it would kinda be like a rear dash rofl

try takin the 6x9's out...i have the same problem...and i stick my 200 cd case between the windown and rear deck in the back and that helps...do both of those things and it should help some. By takin the 6x9's out it will let more air get to the cabin

ok i guess i could take them out and try it, but ill have to fix his door speakers first though one of them, the cord keeps of falling off so im going to solder it on there this time for him, bastard wont be coming off this time lol

uhh under them

but he took out one of the plastic pieces like on the seat belt where you would connect a baby seat, there is tons of air going through that hole
