get a microATX board, small 12V powersupply, HDD, case, and whatever adapters you need. I'm sure there are some small details I missed. O yea a screen (touchscreen or other and an OS. I recommend XP.

I not sure which i wanna go with yet i thinking i wanna keep my Hu and music seperate from the computer stuff. Thinking about glassing in the dash on passanger side. Could i use a flat screen computer screen have one already that i could use . and then the machine will be hid under backseats underthe subwoofer box in the well I have a camaro and taking the backseats out If helps explain any. What do i need to be able to go wireless and be able to run off wifi and such. Anyone have a website i can read up on lol Thanks for fast reply

a mini-itx or pico-itx system based on the atom or c7 processor is the best/most common option for carputers

you can get a fully functional pico system that is only 6"x4"x2" for about $400

check out http://www.mp3car.com for a good resource on building one, they even have an F-body specific thread somewhere in there.

Mine is based off a standard mini-ATX, I figured if the whole thing didn't work out I wanted something I could easily convert back to a standard home computer.

I have mine seperate from my HU and like it this way as it compartmentalizes the the computer and the stereo. Computer is only an aux input and I have full sound and if the computer is messing up (hasn't yet) I still have audio.

Wifi is pretty simple just need to get a PCI or USB wifi adapter. USB is a lifesaver for carputers since most of its items are very compact, and you can find nearly anything in a USB form nowadays.

For good prices on parts do some searching on newegg.com once you have most of your stuff roughed out and are looking for prices and to actually purchase.
