not a starter problem, could be the altenatorLol, so I went to start my old BMW and it usually starts fine. Today when i went to start it, i guess my battery was a little drained (this happens from time to time because of my system) and i turned the key... it sounded limp with stutters trying to start, and I just kept the key at the start turn...
A few seconds later, POP! That is the noise it made. Then a little smoke came out of hood(not alot by any means).
So i jump it with my Acura, and the car starts fine. However when i took it around the block for a drive, the car shuts off!
What could this be? I have jumped it several times and if I stop revving the engine it immediately shuts off.
Would a blown starter cause this?
Lambo's are notorious for popping valves every 15,000 miles or so, especially late 90's. Remove the valve cover and take a look to see if any valves are bent. I'd take it to a reputable Lamborghini shop. I own one in Dallas here if you're interested. But how would the valves be bad all of a sudden? It only happened when i tried starting the car in that hold turn key position
