car emblems

Goo Gone or an eraser wheel used on an air gun, but if you don't know what you're doing you'll mess up the paint/clear coat.
I was thinking about Goo Gone but the guys at Adavancd auto parts said that it is to strong and will eat away the paint, and gave me something ele in a spray can that is made for emblems and stuff but it dont work for crap.

are you planning on painting them and putting them back on ? cause you know when you take them off,the paint under neath will most likely be a different color
No not painitng them just want them off and yea one fell of when i got hit by a semi and it was the same color or really close to it so i am taking them all off. but i dont mind if it is different color, hoping to have the car painted by the end of the summer, I just dont want to be driving around with silver markings on my car where its down to the metal for th next few months.

I was wondering about this too.

Also I have used goo gone plenty of times to get bugs and tar off my car and had no problems, but my car is an 06, so an older car that is out in the sun a lot might be a different situation.

Fishing line is a good idea, edit, someone else said that.
