Nothing Is Promised
Ok so been looking at some cars/trucks for new car coming up. My dad has pretty much nailed it to the 2006/07 Si or a 2006/07 Cobalt SS (SC).

I like the looks/styling of the Si alot better. The SS (SC) is faster than the Si but in no means considered fast. I can get the SS faster sooner than the Si. With that K20AZ3 motor I can't get it blown til once I move out. The SS is cool in the wheel, seating, SC, area. But the Si beats it in styling/design.

If you were gonna buy one which would it be and WHY. Either one will be black. Thanks.

Edit on Page 2...Now it's onto what should I buy first for the Si.

Gotta go with Jmac on this one.

Honda Civic is continually one of the best consumer rated vehicles you can buy. Reliable as a rock, potentially lower insurance costs (can't wait til your parents insurance agent puts "supercharger" and "teenager" together!), cheaper to operate, etc etc etc.

A couple of my friends have cobalts and they are one of the best cars I have dealt with. Hondas are reliable, but I'm really sick of seing people in civics....(dont the SI's have a nasty V-tech in em?)

well do yourfriends have the SS (SC) Cobalt? Yes, Si has K20AZ3 which has the i-VTEC

keep the votes/comments coming

i would say civic out of the two...i bet its more reliable and less costly...then again...i drive a volkswagen...its costly...my vote goes to the civic.

bump...Si is raping lol keep them coming....Im going to drive the SS this week just to see but I do like the Si helluva alot more but since they are limited I cant drive one lol All the ones that came in my town are sold...two black ones and a blue one...

I'd get the honda if I were you. They are okay and have a higher resale value. I doubt you keep the car long enough where maintenance is an issue.

If I were me, I would buy a grand national ( My magna *** laude gradution to myself)

I would get the Honda for sure. It is more reliable and has a higher resale value as people have already stated. Also if your into making your car faster, I would definitely go with the SI. Civics have probably the most aftermarket parts out of any car. The SI stock has 197hp 6 Spd and that Cobalt SS has 205hp 5 Spd. The only thing that is making that Cobalt faster is it is stock supercharged. Just drop in a turbo into the SI and you will easily be faster then the Cobalt.
