Gas mileage for starters.

It's yours and the work done to it was done by you and not someone else, the Tahoe's rims are ugly, i'd be shady of that many miles on the Tahoe, your explorer has under 100k on the clock. Take pride in what you have done already in your Explorer and continue on that path, with the gas $$$ you're going to be putting in the Tahoe, you can put a set of 22"s on your Ex and make it unique in your own way.

i understand the gas thing..even tho ill still be saying the same amount for gas. personally i dont like explorers much and all the work ive done is reversible in a couple hours. ill never put rims on the ex cuz i think they look retarded.

ya i know..this thread is kinda stupid. i guess i was just lookin for someone wiser to argue the pro's and cons.

Here's what i think you should do.

Sell the explorer

Buy the tahoe and sell the rims

Buy regular tahoe rims or chevy rims. If possible just trade someone with a chevy those ugly rims for their stock rims plus some money

Also will your friend give you homi hookups and sell it cheaper
