Car buying suggestion and help

A) The 225 Slant-6 engine was one of THE best six cylinder engines ever produced. Even if you decided to leave it as is rather than retro-rodding it or cloning a more performance-minded model it could/should make for a reliable daily driver with a bit more personality than most other vehicles on the road today.

B) If that Plum Crazy purple is the factory paint (or even a repaint of the OEM color) that's somewhat rare as well. Plum Crazy was generally saved for the bigger motor cars (though it was an option on all of them)

C) People do strange things when someone shows up waving cash under their nose. Add to that the fact that most people trying to sell a car privately list something higher than what they're actually willing to accept as a starting price to allow some wiggle room for negotiation. If you were to carry ten Benjamins with you I would wager you'd be able to take home a new (to you) oldschool Mopar...

I'd buy it....

There are a lot of performance parts made for those.

Crossram induction with dual Holley carbs was real popular on the street/strip scene back in the day.

A modern day ricer wouldnt stand a chance!

That would require changing the internals as well, though.

Dump a dual carb setup (or even an average-sized 4bbl) on top of a bone-stock Slant6 and it will drown every time you mashed the go pedal all the way to the mat....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
