Car battery upgrade

Hey guys,

Since a while I've been rocking my Audison LRX 1.1k and an SRX 4.4. They did alright so far, I had to hook up a cap but no major issues. Been noticing my windows moving slower and light flickering just a little though.

After upgrading my Sundown EV3 12" to an SA series I've been having some more trouble. The voltage isn't ever stable.

I own a 2007 Toyota Aygo, don't know a whole lot about car batteries. All I know is that I'm running an LRX 1.1K and an SRX 4.4 and it's too much for my battery. What would be your advice on upgrading, what to look for? There's so much different, perhaps misleading info on the web, I just don't know who to listen to.

Picture of my setup, just before hooking up my terminals and completing it all.

Thanks guys!

get a DMM and put it on dc volts, put it on the car battery, and then the amplifier terminals. look for voltage dropping from ~14v to below ~11-12v.

if it is dropping significantly get your battery tested, test your alternator, and check for corroded wire connections. actually look, everywhere.

if you decide to get a new battery ask us about brands you have available before you buy, and try to get an AGM battery chemistry

I've checked my mass cables and sanded everything. My wiring is good.

I need a new + cable for my alternator but no clue where it is. I'm working on that.

I know for a fact that my battery is bad, thus I'm asking what to look for when buying a new one.

What brands do you have available to buy? Get the biggest AGM battery that will fit your car. If you don't know, use google. "07 toyota aygo battery size"

you're not in the USA, we are, we dont know what you can get

These are the specs according to a website:

Toyota Aygo 2007

Advised: 12V 40 A/h 350 A

Height: 190 mm (7.48031496 inches)

Lengte: 175 mm (6.88976378 inches)

Breedte: 175 mm (6.88976378 inches)

I'm not too familiar with battery brands, I feel Car Audio isn't that big in the Netherlands.

All I know is that my current battery brand is VARTA, something like in the attached image. Nothing special AT ALL.

I haven't seen too many people even having more than 500 watts installed in their car and talking about it publicly, I think it's much more of a niche here.

I really don't know what size you need, here in the US they have group sizes which standardizes the outside casing to fit in any tray designed for that group size.

Can you show us a picture of how your battery is mounted? Mostly want to know how much room you have.

You need to look for a local battery shop, or something like a walmart? any big store that will carry multiple battery brands and then give us a list of the brands available or ask someone behind the counter for an AGM battery that will fit your car and is made from virgin lead

you might be able to get one shipped but the cost to ship it may be too high.

actually check this out: https://www.tayna.co.uk/Toyota-Aygo-Car-Battery

looks like your battery group is 012, so that might help

did u do big 3 wires?
As mentioned my wiring is good, just need to look at the alternator. I'm aware that a heavier battery will require better alternator wiring. Thank you though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.
