the book itself is a study guide to help prepare you for the basic mecp test. it is the lowest mecp certification. then it goes to advanced, where now, as of this month i think you have to have a years experience to even take the test, then the master installers which is a hard test that requires 3 years of experience to take.
i'm also thinking of going to a school i'm a senior in highschool and i've only done the installs around here.(pointless highschool ones) so if anyone has anymore insight please let me know on where i should go i was thinking of mobile dy,out in az. anyone thoughts on that.

wow!!! this threrad is getten alot of attention. i posted one like this the other day and couldn't get nothing.
anyways, i'm going to acoustic edge in houston this thursday. i think i start class the following monday. i think it will be good for me. the only problem i see so far is the living arrangements. apparently, the hotel where a majority of the students stayed in had alot of problems with the students. a couple of them trashed out the rooms. i think it's funny as hell. that's what young drunk kids are suppose to do.
yeah, i'll drop the line on what i think about the school.

i started to go to that school because it's very near to one of the best tattoo artist in canada. my mom wasn't going for that sh!t. i shouldn't have opened my big mouth:*******:

is there anything like that in illinois....i was gonna get certified through best buy...cuz i worked there but i just never did....they fired me but there stupid cuz i know way more about car audio then anyone that works there

actually ur dumb...i am a really good people person and i was fired cuz i didnt show up three times cuz i had school...i was just saying they try and sell systems that dont go together really and i know more then most that worked there if not as much as the installers...so instead of shit talking ...u can answer my questions like i was asking

No its not hard and yes I would suggest getting the study guide. When I took the test many years ago the study guide had the same questions as the test just some were worded a little differently. As long as you study and know the formulas you shouldnt have any trouble passing the test.
