the book itself is a study guide to help prepare you for the basic mecp test. it is the lowest mecp certification. then it goes to advanced, where now, as of this month i think you have to have a years experience to even take the test, then the master installers which is a hard test that requires 3 years of experience to take.What is this MECP Basic Installers Guide you talk about

No its not hard and yes I would suggest getting the study guide. When I took the test many years ago the study guide had the same questions as the test just some were worded a little differently. As long as you study and know the formulas you shouldnt have any trouble passing the test.For those of you that took the MECP Basic test...is it hard? Do you suggest getting the study guide? What kind of questions were on it?
