Hello there. I've been sitting on this system for awhile now, and I would like to finally have it installed into my 03 Explorer. I'm curious on what the installation costs would to have the whole system installed, parts (wiring harnesses, wiring kits, etc.) and Labor. I would do it myself, but I preffer not to. For several reasons. Anyways, my sound system consists of a Pioneer headunit (DEH-X3500UI), 2 12" Pioneer speakers (Ts-W304R) that are Not installed into a subwoofer box, I got the the box for the 2 speakers, and an Re Audio Amplifier (Dts 1500.1). As mentioned above, I do not have any wire kits or harnesses. It would be much appreciated if someone would give me a estimate of what it would cost to have my sound system installed in my 03 explorer.

- If you were closer to me I'd have no problem installing all of that for you at a good price, but you should be able to find someone in your area to do it reasonably if you take your time and shop around... I would advise buying what you need 1st cuz if you wind up going to a shop you will pay a premium price for any parts or accessories you will need. The install isn't as hard as you think. I was leary of doing some things myself for a while too but there's enough info. on the net to get good instruction. This site is also very helpful. However, do some research first. The folks on this site can be pretty brutal if you ask questions that could've been answered by searching. And in the end, you'll feel a lot better about knowing it's done right because you did it. And save a significant amount of money to boot.

The best use of your time here is to start calling or stop in to your local shops. I would not go to the one that gives you the cheapest quote or claims they will do it faster than the other guys. You're talking about a very basic job, but a real professional will treat you just as well as someone looking to spend a lot more money.
