Alright peeps

Starting november, I am gonna put money aside for audio..

wut should i do?

1.be patient till next summer(may-june) get a golf mk3 with a serious overkill car audio install and get a nice sub in my room in january..

OR

2.get a nice freakin nice and loud surround system(not teh one in a package, lol) in my room (january-febuary), and get an golf mk3 with a normal install (may-june)...

Don't buy the VeeDub but rather a mid-80s Chevy Celebrity (which you should be able to source for less than $12 or so) and then go freggin CRAZY with your HT //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

When I was young, the car audio was more important, because I listened to music there the most. Now Home is where I listen to music and watch movies most, so that is where the money goes now. So I say it all depends on where it is going to give you the most return //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yeah, but wait until you are married and have kids. Chances are, you will be listening more in your car once again.

Very difficult to answer. I do agree that wherever you are the most is the best place to have the best equipment. Although a killer audio system in your car will cost you much less than a killer home theater setup. I consider my car setup to me slightly above decent, not stellar, and I have about 2,000 in it. I consider my home theater to be a few steps above decent, near great and I have about 6,000 in it. Now listening to the home setup and the car setup are very close but it cost me 4k more to get there.

I'd go car myself but if you can get an ok setup for your car and a good setup for home thats good too because then you have both.

hmmm!!

I actually think that the car will cost more..

i sort it out a bit and my room setup would cost around 5000$, thats a 4.1 setup

the car setup would be more expensive than that...cuz ill have to deaden the shyt out of it, upgrade all electrical system, only these things, no sound, would cost me around 1500-2000$ just to start of, then you got the wirings, HU, strong subwoofer, strong comp up front, verry strong amplifiers. I think itll go more around 6-7k .

I guess ill try to do both:naughty: ill go step by step for my home setup, (sub, then 2tower, then other 2tower) and the car ill do it straight all-out!! yeaa, i think its the best thing to do!!

oh well! if yall have other suggestion keep them up

If you upgrade your home audio, will you end up wanting to upgrade your tv as well? I did. Right after I purchased my qsc amplifiers I ended up feeling like my tv just wasn't giving the sound justice so I upgraded to a 60" Sony Grand Wega LCD. Great tv!

It sounds like you know what you want out of both and have your layout planned.
