As the title states, I have read this forum for years, now I am finally a member! Aannnd with the noobiest system ever. A Boss 500 watt amp and two Cerwin Vega 10 inch subs wired in the worst possible fashion! But hey, I installed it myself and I plan on upgrading everything.

Welcome Lurker turned Member.. I've always been a fan of the old school cerwin vega's when they had their pink surrounds.. but the boss amp is trash, you probably already know.. What is your future plans for this car? and what is your budget?

My budget is whatever my paychecks at home depot bring me :') but I plan on ditching the amp to earn up for maybe a soundstream reference? I heard they are good amps, then I want to turn around and buy two(or one) 12" sundown or maybe obsidian subs! Yeah i know my current set up is trash but i only paid 140 for the entire system, couldn't argue with that!

Soundstream dont make good amps anymore and the obsidians are almost gone if not gone. They closed up shop

Oh I see, the recent soundstream reference amps have received decent reviews, but what are some other amps in the lets say $250-$500 range that are reliable and give the right amount of power? And I guess I'll get the sundown sub!

Soundstream and PPI got bought out by power acustik. They are following the same path.
