Car Audio + Home Audio = Same???

when you do it, just remember it doesnt take near the power in a house to be loud as it does in a car(i have a 200w shelf system that makes the windows in my house rattle)

But also remember that there's no cabin gain in a house so expect your subs to roll off a lot sooner. But at the same time, you don't lose midrange due to door-mounting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Also, for the original poster, don't forget that home amps are usually made for 8 ohm speakers.

question is how
Put it in a box?

There are a few issues in using car audio equipment in the home. Most mids/tweets in the car are made to have very good off axis response, whereas home drivers are more on axis. That's not a big deal, but it makes difference in aiming/setting up your towers. And yes, for a car amp you would need a fairly large AC/DC converter depending on how powerful your amp is. In the end you can usually save money by just building a home system using equipment made for home audio. And you'll have better results too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
