Car Audio Expert Needed To Identify Subwoofer Specs

I'm trying to sell a subwoofer I have on Ebay for extra cash. This is something that was given to me awhile ago that I never really used. The guy that gave it to me was sort of an audiophile so I know it's gotta be decent at least. The problem is I can barely find any info on it except the following:

MTX Black Gold 10"

1ove 1209 4ohm

557 9550

I have no idea what the wattage on it is or anything. Do Any of you know where I can find out more about this things specs? I've been searching for a good week now! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif Thanks.

P.S.- Here are a few pics:

Im not sure...there is nothing in the MTX archives that list a black gold Sub...I even looked around for other pics of the Tunder 3000, but Coundt find any. I even looked in Pro-sound and couldnt find any info there...The cones are identical, I just wish I could see the basket/Motor Structure.

No, it's not a 3000. The motor is not the same and the 3000s didn't say "Black Gold" on the back. I'm not sure of the specs though but I've heard they were pretty decent subs back in the day. I would assume they were similar to the 7000 series because the motor looks more stout than the 5000s.

My friend had a pair for 3000s and I installed them for him. The motor is very small and pathetic looking. I have seen the 5000 motors and they're very similar to the 6000 and Blue legend motors. I have owned the 6000s and still own the Blue Thunder Legend sub. The motor and basket look nothing like the Black Gold. It looks like a cross between the 8000 motor and the 5000 motor.

Yeah...I cant find any evidence of the anywhere...The shitty pic I have of a 7000 motor looks different too.

I give up.

I found a few references, but nothing with specs.

The MTX websites was worthless, and an example of why the use of too much Flash animation isnt a good idea.

Their website used to be pretty decent.

Their customer service is pretty good though. Try sending them an email with the picture asking for specs. I'm sure they can help you out. They were able to tell me a good amount of information on the internals of my old 2300x amp. They got back to my emails usually within 48hours.

that looks like the sub that came out of an mtx box that came with 3 10's. 250w rms per sub. the box was 750 total. never took the sub out to see the magnet, but the front looks identical. model was 510? i think.
