I rarely ever buy from a dealership. Last time I bought from one, I spent $1,700 on a piece of metal yard work. If I were to buy from one again, I'd probably do a buy here pay here place, so they would have to fix mechanical problems. But, the insurance sucks if you buy from a place like that. Private dealers can be the same, but usually you can talk them down a lot more than a dealer, and pay half of what you would for the same car.yeh i figured thats what i should do for real im too anxious to get my car id probly end up with a piece of junk. but anyways i have been considering an integra, civic or accord. what are some other good reliable rides that you would prefer? also do you guys buy your cars from dealerships or private sales or what?
Yeah, that's what I am thinking about doing, or just keep is as a 'fall-back' vehicle.96 ford taurus's r pretty reliable. id flip it make an easy grand or 2.
If you can find one with a decent body, and has a lot of mileage, just buy a newer engine (I wouldn't buy anything with over 70,000 miles), and make sure it has some sort of warranty.wow the only cars around here for $1k need a lot of work or have over 200,000 miles on em
