Capacitors

Do this little experiment. Play your amps at the level where you think the caps are helping and then unplug the battery and see how long those caps actually feed the amps.
with music its not about how long you can sustain power its about how dynamic the music actually is. I'm not talking about how long you can hold a 40hz note but actual music. in the .25 sec between bass notes that cap will charge back up again and supply power for the 4ch when the bass hits again. And its not me thinking they help, I can hear the difference in the clarity of the mids. Caps are not a replacement for the batteries but a supplement. Kinda like some health nuts out there. They take vitamin supplements but they dont stop eating real food.

So they're a sorry attempt at a Band-Aid if you have a cheap amp with unregulated power supply and inadequate system voltage?

Did you do the experiment? Do you make sure to listen to only music with drums and no other bass material like bass guitar? Believe what you like, it's your money.

well with an agm battery you dont need to wait and charge it up... there's a whole bank of stable power and voltage at all times. you can have stable dynamic music AND long 40 hertz tones... its more reliable than a 50 farad capacitor thats for sure.

Not relevant. As already stated, capacitors are not meant to supply sustained power they are meant to supply instantaneous power. A cap will react to a current demand much faster than any AGM battery can.

You have batteries that don't need charged? You should probably alert the scientific community as you've discovered batteries that defy the laws of physics.

when you are talking about that level of capacitance then you are correct. But all I'm talking about is 1 or 2 farad caps to supplement the system. A lot easier for ppl to drop 40 on a cap instead of couple hundred on an agm bat.

When you cut yourself do you put a band aid on it? They have their proper time and place like everything else does.

well these were good for zero drop at idle on music on 7k. dropped to 14 on burps no rev set. dropped to low 13s no rev set on a pair of 7ks. Zero batts in the car.dd

Your retarded so stfu. Your not always going to be right get the fk over it being a caraudio.com vet you should know no matter what if you have strong subs some notes will steal power from everything else in the electrical system even if its just for a split second and he's saying hes using the cap to keep the mids amp going for that split second.

First of all you're is the contacted form of you are. Use correct English when you try to insult somebody's intelligence in future.

Second, I don't really know about strong subs taking power on certain notes and I don't think you know what you are taking about our have any real evidence to back up whatever it is you're trying to prove. As near as I can tell you're parroting marketing rhetoric from 20 years ago.

If I took my arm off in a band saw I wouldn't look Toa band aid. If you believe caps area good idea, explain the application and provide evidence.
