heres the deal......i am planning on installing a sub and amp to compliment the new speakers i just installed. ford probe.....6.5's front, 6x8's rear. sub and amp will be MTX; box will be Q-Logic. it will only be a 10 inch sub at about 250-300 watts. is it necessary to use a capacitor between the battery and amp? if it is, i will use one. but i am new to this stuff so any input would be great......Thanks!

ok....so a factory alt and battery will do fine? i am new to this stuff and apologize for the stupid questions
for that setup, yes, a factory alt and battery is fine.. read about wiring and electrical systems.. use good wiring.. upgrade your negative from you battery to your chassis.. stuff like that.. this has all been covered many times before, so go read a little, then come back with questions..

Welcome!!
