Can't choose subs!

Shiva **** isn't all that important to me, I'd never know what I was looking at, anyway. I just want to know what the gereral difference is between the 2 subs.

well with the shiva you are payign all for performance and with the typr R you are paying some for performance and some for looks. the shiva may not look spectacular but they are the best SQ sub under 200 and hit pretty hard. they do like their boxes big though....

Shiva would work well in this application.

Just keep in mind that they're dual 8 ohm drivers.

The TC2+, Oz Matrix Elite, and Dayton Titanic MKIII might all vie for that same title, alongside the Shiva.

It's available in 10", 12", and 15" models. By all indications, it would give the Tempest and Shiva extremely tough competition. (This is based on second-hand reviews.)

If your interested to save some money and get great sound. Check out some of the power bass subs. My little brother picked up 2 from Forman, on here. cheap subs, I am good friends with forman and he promised me those things would sound great. Well I was very skeptical about them because they were so much cheaper than most of the other subs. Well I threw them in a 3.0 cub single chamber box, they are 2 12's. Those things sound just as good as the Type R's in my honest opinion. And are right with the kicker comp vrs etc. These are not the high line of PB's but there mid class. They are very very nice subs for the price. My brother is now going to go with the better ones they have once he saves up money because these things sound so good. I had 1 15L7 in before we threw these in. They are louder than the 15 was but just didnt drop as low. But they are still not getting full power yet because we are breaking them in. They max at 350 a piece. We are running about 300 apiece to them right now off a orion 600d mono amp. This setup is great and very cheap.

Well, where to start.

Power Bass is a completely new brand, to me. I don't know If I want to go with a brand I've never even heard of, especially since these will have to last me all year. Take no offense, but I'd need a lot more than the word of one person.

Currently considering Adire Shivas. Basically, it's still down to that and Alpine type Rs. Basically both are the same price. But still, I don't think there's a way of saying R > Shiva or Shive > R. I've basically got a list of every feature I've found about both, listed the side by side, and highlighted which one has the better value. So far, the Shivas are winning.

You're sure they'd work well with 2 cubes apiece, ported? I can also lose the seperating wall, making a shared 4 cube enclosure. If they like box space, that would work well.

Check around about the Power basses they have alot of people saying good stuff about them. I am not trying to sell them to you lol. Just saying that they are great for the price of them. And there has been alot of people that have tried them and said the same stuff I have about them Do a forum search on them or make a thread. I think you will be surprised. And check there site they have been out for like 8 yrs, just a new name for them now.

I heard a type R in CC when i was getting my Infinity Ref's...it isnt a Shiva thats for shure

I must say, with only 100W the shiva sounded sweet.
