Canibus- Mind Control

Any Canibus fans out there that have heard the album? I just got it a week ago and its different. In some songs hes the same old canibus but in others he takes a step in a different direction. Though its always good to see an artist change their style, I personally didnt like the way he did. I like canibus the angry, lyrical, rip the jacker.

Im having trouble figuring out if this is all new material of if its been compiled.

Couple good songs on it

33 3's which is obviously a knock of Jiggas 22 2's. Still decent though

Canibus man is a decent track

Stupid Producers isnt bad but it losses its novelty after a little while.

not 4 play w/ Kurupt is ok, first time ive heard kurupt for a while.

Terrible tracks

in the rain- didnt like it at all

Last Laugh- very annoying constant laugh throughout

gybotic- eh

The rest im undecided on. But the album definitly dosnt compare to Rip the Jacker.

Anyone else got any views or heard it at all?

Canibus is such utter garbage now, he's put out a grip of absolutely terrible CD's over the last few years. Dude gets all his rhymes from the encyclopedia. He even managed to fu*k up an entire CD produced by Stoupe...not even Vinnie Paz could do that.

i liked "jack the ripper". i agree some of his rhymes are like hes tryin to sound smart lol but that last song poet laurette II is great.

I think Rip the jacker is really good. But the one after and this one are marginal at best. Its not like his old stuff. For some odd reason I had hope for Mind Control and its been let down utterly.

I haven't heard a canibus album in a while, I remember his old stuff being really good and his lyrics being stong, but it seems he has begun to just fade away

I think he signed up for the military and went to Iraq. I was told he layed down alll the vocals for Rip The Jacker gave them to the producer then took off. That was his last real good album, I dont know why he didnt stick with that producer.

They were all throwaway beats from Stoupe, he didn't even want to have the beats used, but Babygrande basically forced him to. It's not like Canibus decided to stop working with him, Stoupe just doesn't want to give beats to Canibus because he sucks and doesn't sell for shit.
