Can you run a Rockford T1500bdcp on .5ohms?

Isnt the amp the same @ 1 ohm and 2 ohm? There is almost no point to run it that low anyway. U will see just about no gain, and will not hear a difference, AT ALL.
there's a few watt difference lolz.

i ran each of mine at .7 for a few weeks never had an issue. and i ran my p1000s at .5 for months, as long as your gains are set correctly and you have proper electrical you should be fine.

A few isn't gonna raise your score. Makes no sense to risk your amp for no reason.

no!

doesnt matter what it is
Why wouldn't his electrical matter? He's going to increase wattage by at least 25% going from 2 ohms to 0.5 ohms. At 1,500 to 2,000 watts, I think it definitely needs to be considered.

bc alot of ppl dont recommend putting either bdcp amp down to .5 ohms. seeing as i had two t2500 bdcp my self i wouldnt recommend it. i know you just got ur 1500bdcp so how about u try it and find out what happens? dont forget to show us pictures of it all blown up.... maybe a quick burp would be alright but daily i wouldnt suggest it

Nah man. You don't understand regulated output. Read up on what the "CP" stands for. Then read about how that is accomplished. After you understand that, you'll understand why there is no benefit for someone to wire for fire. All they will do is blow their amp.

What about what Kramer said? Is there a dial inside the Amp that i can turn? And if there is, is that a risky thing to do?
If Kramer was an expert, he could tell you what that dial was (potentiometer) or what turning it did. He can't because he doesn't know. He "thinks" it made his louder or put out more. Has he clamped it? If so where is a video of that? Anyone can say they clamped. He has not a single clue what he's talking about and he's instructing you how to blow your amp quickly.

I never suggested running it at 0.5 ohm. If you read one of my last post, I said not to run it at 0.5 ohm. I asked the OP what his electrical looked like and you responded by saying "it doesn't matter." I'm just saying it does, if he decides to run it at 0.5 ohm.

what would your point be then? if you were asking how his electrical was you must be getting to something? plain and simple you could just say no. my t2500bdcp from 2 to 1 ohms only was 50 watts difference. you really think putting it down to .5 ohms would be worth the risk of blowing your amp for a few watts? i know where you were getting to and just keep your advise to your self if you dont know what your talking about.

You mad bro? All I asked was what his electrical was. And I am agreeing with you. I said he shouldn't run it at 0.5 ohm. I don't know where you're getting the idea that I said its fine to run it at 0.5 ohm. Theres a difference from the 1500 and 2500 from 1 and 2 ohms. I know its more than 50 watts. Mine is and every one I've seen is. And don't tell me what I can and can't do. This is an open forum. You don't know me or what my background is to know if I know what I'm talking about.

my bad i thought you were the one that said you can. there is a difference in power yes and no from my birthsheet it was only 50 watts from 1 to 2 ohms other bdcp differ as no two amps are the same but either way even if it was a hundo or two u cant tell to the human ear so why do it at .5 ohms if your not going to even be able to tell? thats the point. if it were another amp that can do .5 ohms yes it would make a difference but it has a regulated power supply so you get my point?

Hey guys, ugh, the threads over? No use in arguing.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/dont.gif.ed5870f9483b695f9745036963f41c24.gif

I think the smart decision is to NOT run it below one ohm. I have the same amp and my birth sheet is only 150 watt difference from one and two ohms. As many have said, its not worth risking an expensive amp.
