1 amp to build the most ****** 16v groundpounder possible

Just like title says.

If you were building a massive setup to demo heavily and loud as a mutha trucka on 16 volts....which amp would you use? And why?

I would have to say Sundown. Known to be extremely reliable and put out lots of power. A 4500 would give you probably 6k+ @ 16v?..I don't know if you're question is for multiple amps or just one or how much power you would want in such a set up. There are more powerful amps out there, but Sundown amps are a good choice up to the 5k mark.

thanks for a legit reply...i do like sundown but im looking for much much more power. Ill be running just one single amp for my lows in this setup.

So im looking for a mixture of all out power/reliability @ 16v daily/customer service if there are issues/company that supports their competitors.

The sundown amps meet all those except for the all out power unfortunately.

My choices are more as follows:

AQ20

CS 12k

SD 16k

14k2d

14k2e

AB 1100.1

DC 12k

DD z2HV or m4a

There's an SD 16k that just popped up in the classifieds. Hell of a price for that kind of power too! But I think reliability kind of goes down once you get to a certain point. Of course I've never ran that kind of power so I'm just going by what I've read. A lot of it probably has to do with the sheer amount of current it takes to feed such a large amp. In this case, 16k rms will probably cost much more in elecrical upgrades than the actual amp itself. But from the looks of it, you have a nice list of the high powered beasts out there...now its just deciding between them and being able to feed it! Lol

Cs 12k, dc12k and ab1100.1 wont put out as much as a dc9.0k, cs9ketc. Sd amps arent good for musical setups. That being said the sd amps work great on a 12v setup for burps. My vote is a dc9k, the ddm4a. Stetsom is the one amp id stay the furthest away from.

The m4a is true 16v stable, as I assume you are charging at 18+ volts.

If you have the balls foe it, the Stetsom 24k2 is 18v stable

2 sundown NS-1s will five you some crazy power on a 16v system.
