He was being sarcasticthanks
If set up, powered, and installed correctly, those subs aren't going to "drown out" a set of ZRs, or any quality components. He was being sarcastic
2 13W7's are going to overpower 1 set of Zr's IMO. While it is a small cab, that's alot of bass and most likely the set will get drowned out. Seriously, amp wise, get something that will fit you better.
2 sets of 6.5" components, ZR's if you want JL...and a better amp that's either 150x4, or 250x2 so you can put 2 sets on the amp. and why 1000/1's? Seriously, no point they're nice amps but 1000w isn't worth $800, get a nice Sundown 1500d amp for each and be done.
But then again, you seem like you might be a bit of brand *****. Seriously though, ask someone that knows whats they're doing to put together a system for you...or listen to us.
Have you ever heard any other subs? Not bashing on the W7, it's a decent sub, if installed properly it can be pretty loud and sound pretty good. However if you think it's the best, then you are very mislead. There are many, many other subs that cost much less than the W7 that will surpass it in quality and loudness.Everyone claims to have a subwoofer that is better than a W7 both in quality and in loudness... I have yet to hear one.
So because your subs were installed, 2 years ago, by the same shop, and they haven't "gone bad" yet, that automatically means that all their installs are perfect? Maybe so, maybe your friends are just dumb and they made the subs "go bad" because they don't know how to use their equipment. It would make sense since they had it installed at a shop.I have had 2 friends buy the new solo X's and they both had theirs gone bad already. And it was installed correctly because thats where I had my 13W7's installed in my other vehicle over 2 years ago.
Show cars aren't supposed to be normal. Wouldn't it make more sense to not use mainstream brands for a show car? If I saw your car I would think "Oh look, more W7s" and then walk away. Where is the creativity in using the same thing everybody else has? Unless you have a ridiculously good enclosure and a really unique installation, or everybody else there just has crap, nobody will notice your car. If however I saw a car with a sub "from Europe that blows mine out of the water" I will take notice. I might even strike up a conversation with the owner, ask him about the products he used, and definitely remember the car.Its a namebrand, and my car is for show, so if there is a another sub out there from Europe that blows mine out of the water, i could really care less, because nobody will know what the **** it is and the second they leave they won't really remember.
So just because it's not popular means it's not a reputable company and you are comparing them to a pawn shop? Hey guess what, people buy brand new subwoofers from real companies, for far less than you paid even with your friend's discount, and get equal or better quality. So I probably got my nice, quality, name brand items for less than you paid for yours at the swap shop.
Did they tell you that there are better subs for less than the W7, so you assume they don't know anything? If you are there asking questions, how do you know they're wrong? If you really believe the local installers are uninformed, and then you come on here and disagree with everybody as well, maybe...just maybe...you are wrong.I have learned most people down here don't really know what they are talking about so its kind of hard to stroll into an audio shop and ask questions.
You probably haven't heard much then, so maybe see if anyone on the site is local and will demo what they have for you.Everyone claims to have a subwoofer that is better than a W7 both in quality and in loudness... I have yet to hear one.

or how about you l
Why are you talking about my system? I never said I had the best system in the world. And if you don't think that Fi, Autotek, and Mark Antony are some of the best brands you can buy, well then you obviously need to do some research. Also my "sony explodes" that you seem to like to make fun of are actually a very high end component set. Have you actually seen the HF167s, or did you just see Sony and automatically assume they are junk?
Here's a few pics of my shitty sony's

I bet I spent less building my entire CarPC than you did on a single W7. And I've got every single feature that any "real high end" stereo system would have. My CarPC has a fully active digital crossover, any kind of EQ I want, and time delay, all adjustable right from the driver's seat. Not to mention all the stuff it could do that your stereo couldn't even dream of like bluetooth interface with my phone, wireless internet, OBD-II port diagnostics, GPS (Ok well maybe yours can do that), gaming, video playback, a 250Gb available library of music without ever putting in a CD, CD burning right in the dash, USB device playback, and more I'm probably forgetting.
And yes, I drive a relatively run of the mill cheap car and have put a lot of money into it. I bought the car completely stock for $2,000 back when I worked at a grocery store and had no money. Now that I make plenty of money as a computer programmer I saw no reason to buy a new car since mine was in perfect shape. I prefer to just work with what I have, and make it better, rather than just buying a nice car and having a shop install some overpriced generic equipment.
Anyway, I really don't know why I'm defending myself to you. You're the dumbass coming on here pissing everybody off with your claims of having the best system in the world with your overpriced overhyped mediocure performing subwoofers.
