Can you identify this electrical component? Help needed ASAP!!!

Yup, that's what she was afraid of. I had her look at the photo and she basically said that a lot of companies will deface the original part number and sub their own. If there are no part numbers you may have to order by part location and description from the manufacturer. Problem is you don't know if you have a NTC or PTC thermistor to go with a generic brand.

PTC= positive temperature coefficient

NTC= negative temperature coefficient

great I'm screwed...
Have you tried getting in contact with the company who made the amp? I had a thermistor fail and I contacted MTX and they were very quick and helpful in pointing me in the right direction for a replacement. I'm sure the company will work with you in replacing the part.

I contacted Rockford and their response to me was...the amps are made in Korea and its not something they repair. Whenever a dead one comes in, they just send out a replacement and toss the dead one.

Well don't ask them to repair, ask for the part's spec based on the board notation.

Give them the board number and rev and then the placement number (TH301 in this case) and they should be able to do a parts lookup. I know that MTX was happy and fast to do it, hopefully Rockford would do the same.
