WOW. Im just sitting here looking at this box & it just seems BIG like I keep saying. ? any other opinions, cheers buckyboy

Ok box is finished, The guy that helped me with the specs has said its gonner be a low end monster.

heres a pic of it and the specs .

It's tuned to 28hz....

top and bottom are 32x22

back is 32x15

front is 27.75x15

left side is 20.5x15

right side is 21.25x15

1st port piece is 17x15

2nd port piece is 21.25x15

What id like to know is the box is about 6inches away from the boot in the car & im worried its to close to it. will the port have enough space to breath ?

that seems too low, the tunning freq i mean..not attacking u just think that a 30-33Hz tunning would give better results...not a lot of songs go that low in bass lines...ud still have the depth u want but keep the kick bass the sub would produce...just my 2 cents

Thats cool . the more opinions the better as I dont really want this box in my car the depth is just taking up all that space & the port is 6in away from the boot. Would of rather a depth of about 18in max but would need another design if anyone is willing

If you change the depth on that box to 18 and the first port to 13x15 and leave the height and width the same, then the box would be ~2.9CuFt at ~31Hz

What would the difference be in sound if I did this. Better, worse as I would prefer to do the second build but wanna know what the 1st one is gonner be like ?

Ive also been told that I should have at least 3 cu ft for the woofer or i could choke it

^^that greatly depends on the parameters of the sub...some subs work great in small boxes others stink...a smaller ported box usually means less boomy bass and more kick bass...but theres a lot of factors involved, not just the size..have u tried running the speakers parameters thru bassbox or win isd and see the curve?
