I still can but like I said I like to be different. They Type R's are loud and I'm sure they are running 145-147db,

So to be different you chose a mainstream brand that is carried by circuit city and good guys, one of the largest chains of electronics? As opposed to the small internet companies that noone really knows about unless they go to a forum..

And why would I be lying on here? It's very possible to hit what I'm hitting with what I'm running. SPL is because of what... cone space, watts, and the box. 48" of total cone, 1500 watts, and a big ported box and it is very possible to be hitting what I am. Like I said people like to talk s*** about what I have on these forums cuz Alpine is an already made brand so they don't like it, just what I was told. Anyways, later.

I believe you just like I believe the guy at the import show that said his 6 12" Momo's are hitting 178 db,and when asked what frequency his car peaks at, he didnt even know. Oh, the box was sealed and one was inverted.

So I dont exactly believe you.Sorry.

Who said I was trying to impress anyone? You're the one trying to brag about your s***, asking if anyone has a louder everyday driver, of course someone does. Like I said I'm happy with what I got, plus yes it's 1500 watts not 750. Anywas this thread is getting old, I'm hear to learn/help not argue, it's pointless.

I'd just like to include a little something.. after reading the post that was made in reference to this one on CAF.com..

you can call me whatever you like... I base my posts on over 4 years of in-lane competition experience, and personally doing over 200 installs, and helping on twice that amount..

put any woofer you like in there... your number will still fall short on a good meter..

that's life.. and when you waste as much time testing as I have.. product name means jack shit..

Hey alpine, I am not trying to be an *** or anything, I am just wondering how you have 4 12" type R's ported and only a one small port that that. You must have a lot of port noise or something. All the air being moved from those woofers seems to go through that one port. It doesn't seem too make much sense.

See, i don't think they are "ported". There is just a blow-through where all the sound from the subs comes through. So he doens't have 4 12"s ported, just 4 12"s.

Unless i'm really missing something.

Iv never seen so many people argue about whos system is better, I like all systems, I don't care if its better than mine or worse. Some of you all shouldn't get so worked up over dbs. You want dbs, stand behind a jetplane during takeoff.
