Sold the amp a while ago (1800, not 2k if that helps you sleep), dont care to justify myself, the amp ran fine in my saab. Then used a punch 150 and an ed nine1/sae1000d/pdx 1000

PG 200.4 and Alpine pdx 1000 will be installed tomorrow with my Tempo 6's and SI Mag v3, should be another 1800w or so set up, running everything @4ohms

I can get pictures of that if you think its impossible

I'll do a vid when I get my tempo's going active, until that happens ill probably just be using 2channels on the pg 200.4 and ~1000 on the pdx

I dont know enough about car audio to lie about it, and im not really that kind of guy anyway. If it didnt happen I wouldnt post it, because I wouldnt know if it was possible or not. I came here being ultimate noob. Between what some guys on the site told me and some guys at some shops told me I was going to need all kinds of upgrades, like people talking crazy shit, but what do you know, it runs effeciently without spending $800 bucks on shit I didn't need. Never noticed dimming in the least bit, once i got a volt meter I saw it stayed at 14.25 at any song i played

I ran a 5k plus a 200.4 off stock alt 120amp and 2 batts. 1 yellow top and 1 kinetik 2400 with 2 runs of 0 for a long time. Would it stay above 14v. Nope. But it was starting round 14.3-14.6 and would drop as low as high 12's.

So to the oP go for it! If you need to add more later do it. Will it produce a full 3k doubt it but ya never know.

Alright, well ill just try the 140 amp alt, big 3, 1/0 gauge to the amps, and say.... a d3100, or maby a kinetic 2400 in the back, idk which would be better or cheaper. i only wanna hover 12.5 on a 2.5k systems so

People always will tell you what you can and can't do, Or that no way your system hits that number. Prove em wrong and they just go to the next thread and do the same thing instead of realizing No one knows until you try it.

and OP I think you have the right idea, try it, worst case scenario you need to drop some cash on an extra battery, but theres also a good chance you can save yourself some cash and the set up will work without that battery. Let us know how it goes

Also, I find it hilarious when people try to argue against science. That amp is going to pull more than 130A of current to produce 1800-2000 watts. Even if your magical Saab had 4 gauge wiring under the hood, which it doesn't, it would only be rated to support 150A of current.
