See I don't know what to believe, I was looking and found a couple articles with the same exact looking subs saying that it's a 4 ohm

It could be dual 4ohm. Check with DMM

Many companies build the same subwoofer in both dvc 2 ohm and dvc 4 ohm versions. Do you have a multi meter?

I had two of the Xtreme 12's and they were dual 4ohm. They read at like 3.5ohm per voice coil which is common.
