can someone explain the severity of having good wiring? an head unit

i just sold my last dc used woofer ,i dont have used stuff but every now and then ,and usually not woofers unless they are my personal or my sons.like this last dc 15 was.

well maybe im wrong on the thickness of it then its possible i can be running 2 gauge if there is a 2 gauge..

cuz i run it all day bumpin an nothing gets hot.

o ok well idk i just spent the 600 i had for my sub on some car issues i had so im figuring by next week ill have the money again, so its 525 if i want the xl which i think will be good with my setup an amp.

Your not wired at 1ohm than because that amp would be fried from low voltage by now.

i dont understand why would would ask for advice then tell them they are wrong.... running 4 guage on 2500 watts is a BIG NO NO

Simple....the more current(amps) that the device that's hooked up with the wire requires, the more heat that is generated in the wire. If the wire is of inadequate size, it can overheat. Inadequate size also gives you a larger and larger voltage drop as the current demand increases and your amplifier loses performance. For example, an amp that does 750 RMS at 12volts may do 1100 RMS at 13.6. Regulated power supplies help a little, but even then if there isn't enough current, you aren't gonna get optimal output.
