Can you solve it?
I searched port noise but just get a ton of threads saying "hope you enjoy the port noise" or "your going to have port noise" etc.

what is port noise? What causes it and what does it most sound like, other than the obvious which is port noise :p

I've got a lil because I didn't round the corners of each port....

i had a box liek that and didnt round those corners,........mine was fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif mine was 4 cubs @ 28Hz....same number of port turns inside too...

Port noise is caused by too small of a port width. The air caused by the speaker thus creates more velocity in said port, which causes the fluttering sound you hear.

It's caused by turbulence in the port as a result of either sharp edges on the port or too small a port cross sectional area for the volume of air moving though it. Smaller area equals higher velocity equals compression of the air and noise. Compression will also cause the air to "pack" in the port and change the tuning as well. In an SPL setup it will cost you output. The fix is to make a larger (cross sectional area and also length to keep the tuning the same) port.
