Can someone explain 'clamping' and 'strapping' please?

Eh, just like the title asks... I read about people clamping and/or strapping amps and I'm just wondering WTF they are talking about?

Strapping amps is when u place 2 amps together for more power, daisy chaining amps. Not all amps will do it though...

clamping is when you find out what the amp actually puts out as far as rms

clamping can refer to using a clamp on ammeter to measure current. I have never heard of anyone using this term to describe bridging amps.

Strapping amps is simply bridging 2 mono amps to one load. Although it is possible to strap 4 amps to one load this is rare. So mostly 2 mono amps will be series strapped together.
