Alright. Taking a spanish final tomorrow. It is worth 20% of my 2nd quarter grade. What is the lowest I can get on it to maintain my B. Lowest a B can get is the 83.50

points earned points possible grade

831.5 929 89 B

A+100.00 B- 83.50 D+ 72.50

Overall Rank: 9 A 93.50 C+ 82.50 D 65.50

Absent Days: 0 A- 92.50 C 74.50 D- 64.50

Tardy Days: 0 B+ 91.50 C- 73.50 F 0.00

B 84.50

I don't have the math skills to do this. Can someone help me? Thank

look dude its like this..

if the rest of your class counts for 80% and you have an 80 in it and get a zero on the quiz you have a 64% so if you get a 100% on it then you have a 84% get it..

how many points do you have right now? and out of? how many points is this quiz worth? I will do it that way too

if my calculations are correct, and assuming its out of 100 you will need a 28/100

this is correct aswell.. if its not of 100 you can get WAY LESS.. it depends really how the system is setup.. if its points or actual percentages added together..

then it would be about 100 + or - a few.. you can get away with about a 28 but to be safe I would say low 30s.. so get a 40+

you were right before its all based on how its setup though.. a points system and he can simply get 28/100 as it will keep him exactly at a 83.5 but thats if the quiz is 100q's but if its EXACTLY 20% it will be a few more questions..

if its and actual percentage system than you add up the points after you determine the percentage of each group

yessir but that is if it is truely a points system like you stated.. if it is a percentage based class where each category is a certain percentage then you need a 60% or better

it most likely is a points system though.. you usually don't see percentage systems much

So about a 60... I think i can do that. It's Spanish 2. I already have 10 points on my test due to perfect attendance and spanish club. So I have to get half of the questions right. lol I think it's possible.

i got 138/232.25=59.48% (the first time i didnt figure it as 20% of your grade)

there are 233 points left however the teacher does it you need atleast 145 of those.. thats a 62% that will give you an 84%
