Can my electrical provide the needed amperage?

I hope a ton of noobs dont see this.... but DD amps tolerate 11v fine. The first m series amps were rated at 11.9v. My m3 hit 11v alot. Hell, when i clamped it, i clamped at like 11.5v
ughh idk im not to sure it will run fine at .5 ohms...such nice equipment down the drain if i fk up.

If everything is hooked up/installed correctly and amp gain set correctly, should be able to handle that .5 ohm load daily with ease. That's why were here to help out if your not comfortable doing so. Ask for help or assistance.

DD still rates these at 12v.

But it is your investment. So its on you to set it clean, watch voltage etc. Unclipped at 12v, that amp flat out wont fail

Doesnt mean its a bad idea //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

But thats assuming he even sees low voltage. That alt and 2 3100s should drop no more than 1v or so

Yea. The power supply is optimized for lower loads but it does mean it a good idea.
couldnt i get dual 1 ohms speakers and wire one parallel and one series to get 1 ohm load and parallel them both to get .5? I could just rewire to 1 ohm if it isnt going too hot. or rather too hot

Yea. Its pretty much designed for those loads for reliability.

Thing is the power supply functions better with slightly higher voltage. So by all means if you can get an alternator and a good battery with a cap bank I wouldn't hesitate but just remember you have to have the proper connections and know the limits. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If krs and the guys say it's fine im sure it's fine. I know plenty amps love half ohm but I am cautious when recommending it personally.

half ohm has always been the "1 ohm" for Koreans OP. idk why you would even be scared with your electrical lmfao. Running koreans at half ohm is like trying to get laid at a fat cougar bar when you are a strapping 21 year old muscular hunk.

**** man i need something powerful at 2 ohm after rise.

This woofer is LAUGHING at my amp. I was told it does 4200/3600/1900 at .5/1/2.

I'm serious eyeing one of those taramps bass models..

get it. you'll never look back at koreans again. Especially when you arent wiring to 0.25 ohms and sh*t Even tho the bass series can take that as well... wait why go korean again??? LOL

If you cannot afford the downtime and cash to send that amp out for repair you have no business running below 1 ohm. There's a reason DD doesn't publish/warranty at that point and the reason is that low impedance is hell on semiconductors.

That said, your electrical looks about right and DD amps are proven to survive abuse well. I'd run half ohm if I owned one, but I also have an annual "blow **** up budget" and I'm fully expecting things to break occasionally.
