Can I use Home Theater RCA's in car.........AND some questions regarding setting up X

It all depends.

If the home RCA is a well shielded cable made for unbalanced connections, it will work well for car audio. If it is a twisted pair home audio cable made for balanced connections, it will not work well in a car.

Most car audio equipment is unbalanced, however there is some balanced differential equipment such as Zapco's symbilink.

I got a return call from crescendo and was told if it's a screw, possibly a stripped screw from one of the boards or something, the amp would be fine without the screw as it has other screws holding it place.

however was told that you don't want to leave the screw rolling around in there because of the electronics. You might want to check yours lol

yeah mine are not twisted I don't think. They look regular shielded. But doesn't look like I will need to use any of my home stuff that I had boxed up. I bought some new car Rca's back in 09 when I bought the pioneer deck and they are unused.

And by the way fly martin, turned out to be just 2 screws that they must have stripped out when putting the board on

Yes for my home theater system that I put in in 02 I have thick monoprice cables. Back in the day I would actually use the thicker vs the smaller ones that I bought back in 09 ( Boss Rca's,), not thin but not super super thick. As I've been reading up on Rca's and talkikng to people, there seems to be myths about the size or Rcas so I will just use the nice pretty blue new Boss 12 footers. I will probably use the monoprice stuff for the Tacoma when i upgrade it or even another vehicle I may get later
