I have an oscilloscope that lets you see the wave-formok
as far as what I've seen in some videos, a lot of professional car audio installers use a tool that helps set what exactly in terms of amplifier gains or settings, or???
ohhhh. I have to research what exactly that will do for me, or get an understanding of what it does and how it will help me/if it will //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Just for reference anyway.I have an oscilloscope that lets you see the wave-form
The scope lets you see what the waveform looks like. It's pretty coolohhhh. About to check out some videos and try and find the one where the guy says a tool is a must to get it set dead on; whatever " it " was.

They're probably talking about an SMD DD-1. I would not buy one of those.
I think my deck goes up to about 50-60 although safely I think the max I've turned up to I believe is about 35 or so.You can tell when your amp is clipping bad, but not always when there is a soft clip.
It will sound different when you turn it up, but will stop getting louder.
Clipping lights are nice, but not 100% accuate.
Yea, just use common sense and don't stress things. You'll be fineI think my deck goes up to about 50-60 although safely I think the max I've turned up to I believe is about 35 or so.
I will do the best I can and play it safe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Amps came in yesterday. The Gain starts @ 5VAmps have min and max markings. Let's say it goes from 0.2v to 6v, 3v would be half way. So 4v would be a 3rd of the way from middle to 6v.
Ok as far as what fly martin was saying as to match the amps gain to your decks pre out voltage ( mine is 4 v), then turning the gain up to ............Well 0.15 is less than 4 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif....................?5v is for 5v signal. .15v is for a lower level signal input. For a lower level, you need to turn the gain up.
It's the opposite of what you would think.Ok as far as what fly martin was saying as to match the amps gain to your decks pre out voltage ( mine is 4 v), then turning the gain up to ............Well 0.15 is less than 4 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif....................?
Maybe I'm understanding something wrong
