what amp are you running? the point of fusing is too protect the wire

also there could be multiple reasons you blew that fuse

i'd feel safe using a 60amp... but any higher than that probably wouldn't be the best idea.

plus, you cant get 5AG fuses bigger than 60amps I dont think
