Can I run this setup at 1ohm?

2 12" Pioneer Premier 3004 Subs

3000 peak, 1000 rms, DVC 4ohm

2 Sony Xplod 1000 Watt Monoblocks

It says the xplod's are stable at 1ohm. So would I be able to wire these subs at 1ohm and put 1 amp to each sub. I'd hopefully be getting between 800-900 rms each sub that way.

You cant wire each sub @ 1 ohm. YOu can wire each for 8, or 2 ohms,or you can wire both subs together for 1 , or 4 ohms. Now if you had dual 2 ohm subs, then you could wire each sub @ 1 ohm.

I have 2 amps...would that allow me to run each sub at 1, 2, or 4? Sorry for the stupid questions, still fairly new at this.

By themselves the subs can be wired to 2 or 8

if you have dual 2 ohm woofers, you could do one to each amp at 1 ohm. you would be able to do that with your dual 4's

look at the wiring diagrams under the wiring help section. it will tell you different ways the subs can be hooked up to.

like everyone said 1 dual 2 ohm sub can be wired to 4 or 1 ohm

1 4 ohm sub can be wired to 8 or 2 ohm

and

2 4 ohm subs can be wired to 1 ohm or 4 ohm

2 2 ohm subs can be wired to .5 ohm or 2 ohm

So for the most power output of my system should I:

For the best results wire each d4 ohm pioneer @ 2ohms. If that amp puts out what it says, then you should see 600 watts out of each amp.

I have a pair sitting in my dining room, cant wait to get them in 5 cubes @ 32Hz and 75 inches of port area, 20.1 wired to half an ohm... I have heard good things about these Pioneers so I hope they live up to my expectations.
